Have you always wanted the nice sound of a cackling fire advent from your backyard? Hearing your families laughter as they are sitting colse to an open fire roasting marshmallows? I will show you how to build a rock fire pit! You can do this as a one man job or get the whole family involved! Most of all have fun, and just remember it will all be worth it in the end!
1. Placement of fire pit

Figure out where you are going to put your rock fire pit, and take off any debris that is in the area. You always want to begin your scheme with a clean area! I advise clearing a surrounding area of at least six feet in diameter. I know it seems like a huge space, but it will relieve you later, from worrying about a fire beginning face of your pit!

Make sure when picking your rocks, you have them medium to large in size. They are much more carport when stacked together. Be creative, just make sure they are solid and will hold up over time!
3. Determining size of Fire pit
I advise measuring out how big you want the base of your pit to be. Use String or someone else material that you can in fact use as a guide when placing your lowest layer of rocks. Start with your largest rocks on bottom, working your way up to your medium rocks! Place them as closely together as inherent stacking them at least ten inches off the ground!
+ Bonus tip+
If your fire pit is meant to be permanent. You can always use cement to hold your rocks together. It is a minute more work, but this way it will last longer, and have less chance of being knocked down by kids, dogs, or drunken buddies!
4. Enjoy!
Last but in fact not least, stack your woodin the middle of your fire pit, add a minute newspaper, light it and sit back and relax!
